AVEO Announces Proposed Offering of Common Stock

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq:AVEO) today announced that it intends to offer and sell shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. The offering is subject to market conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering. All of the shares in the offering are to be sold by AVEO.

The net proceeds of the offering are expected to be used for working capital and general corporate purposes, including development and pre-commercial expenses incurred in connection with the ongoing Phase 3 clinical trial of tivozanib in the third-line treatment of patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma (“aRCC”) as well as the ongoing Phase 1b/2 clinical trial of tivozanib in combination with OPDIVO® (nivolumab).

Piper Jaffray & Co. is acting as sole manager for the offering.

The shares are being offered by AVEO pursuant to a shelf registration statement on Form S-3 that was filed with the Securities Exchange Commission (“SEC”) on November 30, 2017 and declared effective by the SEC on December 15, 2017.
