CenterCal Properties Holds Grand Opening and Sculpture Unveiling for Mountain View Village in Riverton, Utah

Mountain View Village will serve the community as a central gathering place, offering a wide range of retail, dining and entertainment options

RIVERTON, Utah--()--CenterCal Properties will hold a grand opening and sculpture unveiling for its newest mixed-use project, Mountain View Village, in Riverton, Utah. The event will be at 13400 S. Mountain View Corridor (4500 W.), Riverton, UT on June 15, 2018.

The grand opening will commence with several store openings at 10 a.m. and a ceremony at 11 a.m., in which city leaders will offer remarks. The short ceremony, highlighted by the sculpture unveiling, will be followed by light refreshments. The highly anticipated development will honor the area’s deep-rooted history, and serve as a gathering place for families and surrounding communities.

A major feature of Mountain View Village is the bronze, 10-foot, 1,900-pound statue of an eagle in a protective stance, “Majestic,” which will be installed in an area designated as John Ward Plaza. Visitors can meet the sculptor, Brian Keith, and learn about his vision and creation of Majestic, to be unveiled during the 11:00 a.m. ceremony. Majestic is the twelfth sculpture CenterCal has commissioned from Keith for installation at its properties.

A beautiful commemorative children’s book, “This Land,” will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefitting the Kauri Sue Hamilton School and VFW Post 140. The author, Ramona Merrill, will be signing copies, and meeting children and their parents.

“Mountain View Village offers a beautiful and safe public meeting area, which is so important to the framework of a vibrant community,” said Riverton Mayor Trent Staggs. “As Riverton continues to grow, it’s important to have developments like Mountain View Village to bring our community together. We now look forward to the completion of the next phase of this project.”

The newest addition to CenterCal’s 19 unique properties across five states — which include Station Park in Farmington and Canyon Corners in Park City — Mountain View Village is comprised of 85 acres in one of the fastest growing areas in Utah. When completed, the development will include retail, restaurants, an office complex, a gym, a hotel and a full luxury theater.
