Forbes Recognizes PPD as One of America’s Best Large Employers

WILMINGTON, N.C.--()--Pharmaceutical Product Development, LLC (PPD), a leading global contract research organization, announced today it has been named to Forbes magazine’s 2018 list of America’s Best Large Employers.

Top large company honorees were chosen by Forbes from an independent survey sample of U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 5,000 people in their U.S. operations. Respondents were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they would be to recommend their employers to others.

According to Forbes, company culture proved to be universally important across industries on the list. PPD’s culture is shaped by the company’s defining principles: a strong will to win; earning our customers’ trust; being game-changers; doing the right thing; and working together as One PPD.

“Our company’s vibrant culture reflects the personal commitment of our employees to unite as One PPD around our mission of helping customers deliver life-changing therapies to improve health for patients around the globe,” said David Simmons, PPD’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Our focus on employee development, professional growth and giving back to local communities helps make PPD an attractive destination for talented professionals who want to make a difference.”

The Forbes list ranks the 500 large employers that received the most recommendations. The survey also included midsize companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations. In total, almost 30,000 Americans working in the U.S. participated in the survey.
