AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Khorus Software, provider of strategy-execution software for CEOs, today announced record results for the first quarter of 2018, including 140 percent year-over-year revenue growth and a slate of new enterprise customers. Khorus founder and chairman Joel Trammell attributes the growth to CEOs’ increasing need for a system to address the high-stakes challenges of the chief-executive role.
“When you’re the CEO, certain questions keep you up at night: Are people working on the right things? Are we going to hit the targets I promised to the board? Do we have enough talent on hand? For the first time, Khorus is giving CEOs actionable answers to those questions,” says Trammell.
Khorus achieves this by ensuring all employees have specific goals each quarter that align with the priorities established by the CEO. The system then aggregates predictive insight from the workforce each week, allowing leadership to make informed decisions and steer around performance obstacles.
“Khorus has become a key part of our culture as our business continues to grow,” says Seth Goodman, CEO of Northstar Recycling, a Khorus customer since 2016. “Updating Khorus every week helps us to regroup, stick to priorities, and have those critical conversations that keep us on track.”
In the opening months of 2018, Khorus brought on several organizations whose leadership saw the value of this solution, including: Spredfast, United Way for Greater Austin, Liquid Capital Corp., and EventMobi. Among the current Khorus customers who renewed their contracts in the same period are Chief Executive Group and the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health in Austin. Khorus has also assembled an advisory board to assist the company’s executive team in strategy development, operational and governance issues, and strategic communications.
“There’s so much talk of AI and big data in recent years,” says Khorus CEO Carolyn Jenkins, “and those are incredible tools. But Khorus is showing that the insights of your employees can be just as powerful in driving performance—especially when you’re asking the right questions.”
Jenkins notes that Khorus customers achieve 80 percent of the strategic objectives they enter into the system on average. “That turns the typical situation on its head, where CEOs struggle to execute strategy predictably. The research shows that CEOs known for being reliable are fifteen times more likely to be high performing,” she says, referring to a recent finding from the CEO Genome Project. “That reliability, the ability to help the organization meet its commitments, is what Khorus offers to chief executives and their teams.”
