NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Maestro Cho-Liang Lin and Shau-Wai Lam have joined the Honorary Committee of Si-Yo Music Society Foundation's award concert on Friday, April 27 at 8 p.m. at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Si-Yo will present the Sau-Wing and Jean L. Lam Award to New Jersey City University's Caroline L. Guarini Department of Music, Dance and Theatre, whose students and alumni will perform. Lin will serve as chair and Lam will serve as vice-chair.

“Sau-Wing and Jean were hard-working Chinese-Americans who shared what they had when they had it, never deferring their time and resources to the future,” said Shau-Wai Lam, chairman emeritus of DCH Auto Group. “Such generosity is most essential for sustaining the performing arts.”
The committee is comprised of the Lams' longtime friends from fields including business, finance, art, medicine, and law. The group highlights the breadth and scope of the community of supporters who shared the founders' purpose of helping musicians achieve their aspirations while bringing world-class performances to prominent venues as well as schools and community centers with few such opportunities.
