BriefCam Achieves Exponential Growth as Demand Surges for Award-Winning Video Synopsis® and Deep Learning Technology

Company increases revenue 100 percent, signs 119 new customers and establishes Boston headquarters

BOSTON--()--BriefCam®, the industry’s leading provider of Video Synopsis® and Deep Learning solutions, announced today that its exponential growth is expected to continue in 2018 and beyond. The company achieved 100 percent revenue growth in 2017, added 119 new customers to its marquee list of leading law enforcement agencies and major enterprises, and now has a client footprint spanning over 40 countries. Organizations use BriefCam’s award-winning Video Synopsis™ technology to accelerate investigation outcomes, increase safety and security, and optimize operational efficiencies.

BriefCam’s rapid video review and search, smart alerting and quantitative video insights transform raw video footage into actionable content, resulting in breakthrough achievements in safety, security and business intelligence.

“BriefCam has been a game changer for our city. We use the system at least twice a day, and in the last few months alone, BriefCam helped us catch a suspected child predator, identify a drug distribution hotspot and solve an open case we would not have been able to crack,” said Johnmichael O’Hare of the Hartford Connecticut Police Department. “BriefCam goes beyond supporting our crime reduction initiatives. It has proven to be invaluable for planning pedestrian and bike pathways to increase safety, and evaluating traffic patterns to find the best locations for events, restaurants and retail stores. BriefCam is helping us combine security with a smart approach to city planning to drive positive change and economic growth.”

In addition to its significant revenue and customer growth in 2017, BriefCam expanded its channel partner program to 86 active partners, including Canon Marketing Japan and IndigoVision. BriefCam also forged a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to accelerate performance and precision of its video analytics solutions.

In 2017, the company established its headquarters in Boston and grew its employee base around 40 percent. BriefCam also expanded its management team with the hiring of Trevor Matz as president and CEO, Tomer Saar as vice president of products and Hagy Ketashvily as vice president of engineering.

“This year BriefCam will continue to aggressively invest in technology, partnerships and key initiatives so that our customers can realize the full value from their video surveillance investments,” said Matz. “Our 2017 results would not have been possible without the tireless dedication and continuous innovation of the BriefCam team, coupled with the tremendous support of our customers and partners.”

This year, BriefCam will introduce industry-first video analytics capabilities with the launch of its next generation products and continue to expand its sales operations and strategic partnerships globally. The company will also launch new market-specific initiatives to support the company’s mission of delivering breakthrough solutions for actionable security and business intelligence to the video surveillance market.
