GoSilent Selected as Last Gadget Standing Finalist

Portable Hardware Device Safeguards Remote Users with Unrivaled Encryption Technology

COLUMBIA, Md.--()--Silent Circle, a pioneer in enterprise-class mobile security, privacy and compliance solutions, today announced that its GoSilent Mobile Firewall has been recognized as a finalist in the 18th annual Last Gadget Standing competition. Finalists were selected by a distinguished panel of judges looking for innovation and potential for longstanding influence in the products they evaluated. Winners will be chosen at a live event on Jan. 11, 2018 at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) where Silent Circle will demo their mobile firewall solution in front of more than 500 tech enthusiasts and influencers.

Data compromise increasingly causes immeasurable harm to businesses and their trusted partners alike, and the need for encrypting and obfuscating internet traffic is rapidly increasing. GoSilent encrypts all data before it reaches the internet, negating an organization’s need to worry about in-transit data loss and enabling users to work as they did before security policies muddied the waters. The revolutionary device is user-friendly, compact and requires minimal setup. It is compatible with servers, phones, desktops, laptops, or any IoT device and empowers organizations to have increased visibility over BYOD and corporate devices, and extends this protection to wherever users are accessing the internet.

“Silent Circle’s mission is to secure mobile communications for the enterprise, including the protection of both corporate and personal information,” said Joshua Konowe, Chief Strategy Officer at Silent Circle. “We are extremely proud to demo GoSilent to an audience of our peers at CES 2018. This recognition is a true testament to our work redefining secure unified communications across the globe – regardless of where data travels.”

This distinction follows a year of record-breaking success for Silent Circle in which the company added 50 new logos and maintained a 90% retention rate of current customers. Released to the mobile tech scene in Q4 of 2017, GoSilent garnered interest early on and was featured in a segment of BBC Click during this year’s Black Hat USA Conference.

The Last Gadget Standing event will occur in Las Vegas, NV on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. PT in N255 of the North Hall at the Las Vegas Convention center. The ten finalists will each have four minutes to demo their product where the winner will be determined by applause from the live and online audience to pick the “most likely to succeed product”.
