World Wide Technology Wins First-Ever DIUx Contract to Deliver Endpoint Management Services to Federal Government Agencies

Groundbreaking $750 Million-Ceiling Contract Open to All Federal Agencies, Starting with $35 Million Task Order for U.S. Army Cybersecurity Services

ST. LOUIS--()--World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT) today announced it has won the first-ever Production-Other Transaction Agreement (P-OTA) awarded by the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx), paving the way for the company to provide cybersecurity endpoint management services to federal agencies on an expedited basis.

The P-OTA, with a ceiling value of $750 million, is open for participation from all U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD federal agencies. The P-OTA was negotiated by WWT and DIUx on behalf of the U.S. Army, which was awarded an initial $35 million Task Order under the agreement. DIUx is a DoD initiative with a mission to expedite contracts between the U.S. military and high-tech commercial firms. In this initial case, WWT guided the Army through DIUx’s prototype-to-production process in less than 60 days.

WWT will provide Endpoint Management Solution as a Service (EPMSaaS) to the Army under the contract, using Tanium to provide endpoint management software across the Army network of 1.2 million worldwide endpoints to effect cyber-defense and control at the enterprise scale and speed required by the DoD. WWT will also provide ongoing management of the solution.

“Such an award could have taken several months to complete using a traditional contracting process,” said Rick Piña, Chief Technology Advisor – Federal for WWT. “Working with DIUx and Tanium to expedite a solution that meets the Army’s immediate needs exemplifies WWT’s commitment to provide revolutionary technology products, services and supply chain solutions for our customers around the globe.”

The contract, finalized on September 25, is currently available for other government agencies to procure EPMSaaS. WWT’s managed service solution includes the Tanium core platform and optional software modules, architectural design, installation configuration and deployment, cyber operations, and technical services.

“WWT is partnering with Tanium to provide the Army with instantaneous and complete visibility to endpoints across their network, which allows for automated detection and remediation of threats in real time,” said Bryan Thomas, Vice President of Federal Sales for WWT. “The combination of WWT’s integrated management services and Tanium’s single, integrated toolset will more effectively protect the Army’s endpoints against modern-day cyber threats.”
