NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Citizens Bank has hired Chapin Bates as regional executive and head of NYC Metro. Bates joins Citizens following a successful 20-plus year career at JP Morgan Chase.

Bates has a strong track record of growing businesses and is a proven leader in the Metro NYC region. Most recently at JPMC, he was Managing Director and Head of Middle Market Banking for Manhattan and Brooklyn. Prior to that role, he led a national team as Head of F/X and Rate Derivative Sales.
Bates has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hobart College and a Masters of Management from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
