LISLE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Molex will feature its new line of multi-port EMI adapters with internal laser protection shutters in Molex booth 3218 at the Optical Fiber Communications (OFC) Exposition, to be held March 21-23, 2017, at the Los Angeles (CA) Convention Center. The versatile adapters can support a variety of connector types including MXC, MTP/MPO, MT, and HBMT. The optical EMI shielding adapters are ideal for data communications and networking applications that require I/O density, EMI containment, streamlined behind-panel fiber routing and eye protection.

The adapters feature metal housings with an EMI gasket that seals them to the panel, increasing shielding effectiveness and enhancing front-panel aesthetics compared to traditional plastic adaptors. The internal laser protection shutters allows for easy insertion and removal of the connector while providing reliable eye safety. A complete line of industry standard MTP/MPO and MXC cable assemblies are available, as well as customized FlexPlane and Routed Ribbon solutions to meet each customer’s unique cable management needs.
