OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UnitedLex, a global, full-service provider of technology-powered business, legal and cybersecurity services, today announced the appointment of Katherine Kawamoto, a former vice president of the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM) and a recognized industry authority on corporate contract management. As a vice president at UnitedLex, Ms. Kawamoto will work to support and expand UnitedLex’s growing Legal Business Solutions and Digital Contracting Solutions groups.

Ms. Kawamoto brings more than 30 years of contract management, negotiation, automation and supply chain expertise and best practices to UnitedLex. For the past decade, Ms. Kawamoto provided hands-on support and research and advisory services to numerous public sector and global fortune 500 company executives, senior professionals and other IACCM members, helping them achieve contracting excellence and drive added-value through improved trading relationship skills and practices. Ms. Kawamoto co-authored “The Vested Outsourcing Manual: A Guide for Creating Successful Business and Outsourcing Agreements” (Palgrave Macmillan; 2011) and “Contract and Commercial Management -- The Operational Guide” (Van Haren Publishing; 2011). Previous positions held at IACCM include Vice President, Research and Advisory Services and Vice President, Americas.
Prior to that, Ms. Kawamoto held the role of Worldwide Director of Contracts Management at NCR Corporation. She also held various contract management positions at Teradata Corporation and Hughes Aircraft Corporation.
