Quadriga Partners Advises Ergentus Emergency Physicians on Partnership with US Acute Care Solutions, a Portfolio Company of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe

Represents second emergency medicine physician group transaction Quadriga Partners has advised on during previous seven months

DENVER--()--Quadriga Partners, LLC (“Quadriga”), an investment bank and advisory group that works closely with companies in the healthcare industry, has announced a partnership between Ergentus Emergency Physicians (“Ergentus”), a Denver-based emergency medicine group, and US Acute Care Solutions (“USACS”), a portfolio company of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe. Quadriga served as exclusive financial advisor to Ergentus in the transaction.

Based in Denver, Colorado, Ergentus serves as the sole provider of outsourced emergency medicine services at four SCL Health facilities across the Denver-Metro area. Ergentus, one of the oldest and largest independent physician groups in Colorado, joins USACS as a founding member. Ergentus physicians will remain owners in the combined practice post-transaction. USACS will provide Ergentus access to additional clinical and business resources through a platform that is majority owned by physicians.

Homi Kapadia MD, President of Ergentus, commented, “We selected Quadriga as advisors due to their extensive experience and deep understanding of the physician group landscape. The Quadriga team expertly guided us through this process and most importantly, continually put the long-term best interest of Ergentus physicians first. We are grateful for our partnership with Quadriga.”

In addition, Tom Burke MD, the past President of Ergentus, remarked, “We are excited to partner with USACS and are thankful to Jason Ficken and his team for facilitating an optimal outcome that significantly exceeded our expectations. Their insight and expertise in navigating physician group transactions enabled our practice to confidently make decisions that best positioned our group for continued growth and success into the future.”

Jason Ficken, Managing Partner of Quadriga, added, “Ergentus has consistently been regarded as a top physician group for more than 40 years. This transaction enables Ergentus physicians to remain at the forefront of emergency medicine during a transformative period in which other practices grapple with an uncertain future as the rapid evolution of the healthcare system continues to unfold.”

Mike King and Justin Hahn at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP acted as legal counsel to Ergentus.
