NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SpecialtyCare, a leading clinical services provider, announced today that Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Samuel Weinstein, MD, MBA, has been promoted to the role of president. The move reinforces SpecialtyCare’s continuing and deepening focus on clinical excellence and operational efficiency.

Dr. Weinstein’s leadership is enabling SpecialtyCare to implement efficiencies in clinical care and business processes that improve patient outcomes and reduce costs. He is introducing innovation to perfusion and neuromonitoring supply acquisition and streamlining SpecialtyCare’s supply chain process overall, which will further accelerate the double-digit growth the organization has experienced over each of the last three years.

About Samuel Weinstein, MD, MBA
Dr. Samuel Weinstein, MD, MBA, has more than 25 years of experience practicing medicine and holds active board certifications in cardiothoracic surgery, congenital cardiac surgery, and surgery. He also has extensive experience consulting on healthcare process efficiency, clinical quality policies and procedures, patient safety, data management, and medical leadership. Dr. Weinstein graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received an MBA from Fordham University. He earned his MD degree at The State University of New York at Stony Brook, received postdoctoral training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, and gained additional training at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Weinstein is the author of more than 100 publications and presentations.
