SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, today announced two executive appointments; Jennifer Betka Chief Marketing Officer and Estanis Martín de Nicolás as the International General Manager.

These two executive appointments are Cutler’s first since taking the helm at StubHub in May of this year, and come on the heels of the company’s latest business evolution, including aggressive growth plans, international expansion, continued innovation within mobile and overall, a company-wide effort to move beyond ticketing to help people fill their free time with a more personalized and seamless mobile live entertainment experience.
Betka, formerly a senior vice president at Wikia, is tapped to oversee StubHub’s global marketing organization. Her team will build its marketing efforts around StubHub’s commitment to deliver a more personalized experience to users, and ultimately, moves beyond being purely a transactional company into a more end-to-end platform.
Betka’s appointment is complemented by new International General Manager Estanis Martín de Nicolás, who joins StubHub from PayPal, where he served as the GM for PayPal Spain and Portugal since 2009.

Both Betka and Martín de Nicolás begin their respective StubHub appointments immediately.

Betka joins StubHub from Wikia, a top-20 global site convening authoritative communities of fans across entertainment and pop culture topics, where she led the marketing organization as senior vice president. In her role, Betka developed and directed all consumer and B2B marketing strategies to position and grow the brand and triple its user base.
Prior to Wikia, Betka held strategic marketing and management roles with major media companies including the Los Angeles Times, Sirius Satellite Radio, Time Warner and AOL. She is a graduate of business administration in marketing from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and studied master’s programs at the Columbia School of Strategic Communications and the USC Annenberg School for Communications.
Betka will be based at StubHub’s U.S. headquarters in San Francisco, Calif.

The appointment of Estanis Martín de Nicolás to General Manager of StubHub International continues his successful career at eBay Inc. He joined eBay UK in July 2003, serving as Head of Technology & Electronics. In March 2007, he moved to PayPal to build the Strategic Client Management department, initially for PayPal UK. In 2009, he moved to manage the PayPal business in Spain.
Martín de Nicolás earned his MBA from INSEAD, one of the world’s leading business schools.
