Gilmartin will spearhead the company’s strategy, product and marketing efforts including lead generation and brand awareness as it continues to widen its foothold in the marketing technology sector, which is experiencing sizable momentum.
Gilmartin brings more than 20 years of marketing and product management experience to BlueConic, having successfully led teams through high-growth periods and implemented powerful digital marketing strategies. His strengths lie in the areas of digital marketing, analytics, positioning, brand development and user growth. At BlueConic, Gilmartin will join the founders as a core member of the company’s management team tasked with building the marketing organization and expanding go-to-market activities as BlueConic continues to experience strong traction.
Most recently, Gilmartin was the vice president of marketing at WHERE, Inc., a local application and mobile advertising company acquired by PayPal in 2011. Post acquisition, Gilmartin led a revamped team through the development and roll-out of a mobile marketing program for PayPal’s B2B and B2C applications and later was head of digital marketing for PayPal in North America. Prior to WHERE, Gilmartin held various senior-level marketing and product positions at Sprint, Network Solutions and Verisign. He has also served as an advisor and investor to many Boston-area startups, including ByteLight, Zagster and CarePort Health.
