The Segal Group Expands Human Capital Services

NEW YORK--()--Joseph A. LoCicero, President & CEO of The Segal Group, has announced that the firm has acquired the assets of Excelcor (www.excelcor.com), a partnership focused on providing human capital consulting to corporations, colleges and universities, and hospitals and medical centers.

“This acquisition expands Sibson Consulting’s Organizational Effectiveness Practice by adding deeply experienced professionals in strategic planning, organizational excellence, change management, operational efficiency and process reengineering,” commented Mr. LoCicero. “Additionally, Excelcor has many relationships in Higher Education that overlap with ours and our Higher Ed consulting team is very familiar with their work. We are very excited to add their innovative staff to our firm.”

Joining Sibson’s Human Capital Practice are:

  • Scott Nostaja, President & CEO and founder of Excelcor, as Senior Vice President, reporting to Mr. LoCicero.
  • Jennifer Donnelly, Executive Vice President at Excelcor, as Vice President, reporting to Daniel Fries, Senior Vice President.

While running Excelcor, Mr. Nostaja also spent several years as the Chief Operations Officer for the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. Before founding Excelcor, he was the leader of the West Coast Organizational Change Management Practice for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Mr. Nostaja has also been Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Universal Studios and has worked for SONY Pictures, CBS, Inc., and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. Mr. Nostaja served as a Trustee of the Producers-Writers Guild of America Pension Plan, the Writers Guild Industry Health Fund and the Directors Guild of America – Producers Pension and Health Fund.

Ms. Donnelly is a lawyer and HR executive with expertise in employee relations, organizational design and effectiveness and operational efficiency. She spent more than 12 years with the University at Buffalo as Associate Vice President of HR, Director of Employee and Labor Relations and as a Senior Advisor to the President. She has also worked with the City College of New York (part of the City University of New York) on strategic planning, with SUNY College at Brockport on HR and cultural transformation and with the SUNY System on HR and employment issues.

Mr. Nostaja and Ms. Donnelly are affiliated with Sibson’s New York Office.
