Avira Antivirus Pro offers every paid user the best and most up-to-date anti-malware technology, including unlimited access to the Avira Protection Cloud, and Avira URL cloud, which are two of the most advanced malware detection technologies among security vendors.
The migration to Avira Antivirus Pro will happen seamlessly without any specific action from users being required. The product roll-out will be gradually introduced to all paid users around the world. One of the paid products will receive a new name: Avira Antivirus Suite will be renamed Avira Antivirus Pro. Users of Internet Security Suite and Ultimate Protection Suite will enjoy the benefits of the updated AV Pro core, without it affecting the additional functionalities of their product.
Avira Will Offer Fastest Anti-Malware Engine Ever
As part of the Avira Antivirus Pro release, Avira also announced it is now offering its fastest anti-malware engine to all users. Avira is now utilizing xVDF (extended Virus Definition File) for the first time, which allows the company to increase the number of virus definition files and optimize the download speed of the files. This will result in:
- System start will be faster
- Smaller Virus Definition file size with each update
- Reduced VDF download volume
- Lower resource consumption used by the main product
