MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In a concerted move to expand its commercial real estate practice, Avila Rodriguez Hernandez Mena & Ferri LLP (ARHMF) announced today the addition of a significant lateral partner - Monica Cunill-Fals joins the firm as a partner in the firm’s real estate practice.
Monica Cunill-Fals, an established partner with over sixteen years of commercial real estate experience, joins ARHMF’s real estate practice as a partner, leaving her prior firm of over thirteen years, Bilzin Sumberg, where she was a partner. Ms. Cunill-Fals represents local, national and international clients in the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of various types of commercial real estate projects, including shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes, hotels, storage facilities, and industrial properties. She has significant experience representing servicers of securitized commercial real estate loans in a variety of complex matters involving performing and non-performing loans, as well as representing lenders in originating commercial real estate and mezzanine loans.
In the community, Ms. Cunill-Fals serves on the Board of Directors of the Cuban American Bar Association’s (CABA) Pro Bono Project and is the Chair of the Membership Committee of the Miami Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). Ms. Cunill-Fals earned her J.D., summa cum laude, in 1995 from Nova Southeastern University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida International University in 1991.
