DANVERS, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NeuroLogica Corporation and Stryker Navigation, a business unit of Stryker Corporation, announced today the development of an integrated surgical navigation unit for NeuroLogica’s portable BodyTomTM 32-slice CT scanners.
The compatibility of both technologies will offer surgeons better orientation in the OR and enable minimally invasive surgeries with higher accuracy. NeuroLogica’s portable BodyTomTM CT scanners and Stryker’s surgical navigation system platforms are designed to assist with a wide variety of medical procedures, including spine, trauma, neurosurgery and ENT.

Stryker’s neuro navigation platform with Automatic Intraoperative Mask (AIM) technology is the first surgical navigation system to offer automatic patient registration capability with NeuroLogica’s BodyTom™.

The battery powered BodyTom™ can be easily transported from room to room, similar to the widely used portable chest X-ray systems. Its unique capabilities provide high quality CT images wherever needed, including the clinic, ICU, OR and Emergency/Trauma Department. BodyTom™ is DICOM 3.1 compliant and compatible with all PACS, surgical navigation, electronic medical records, and planning systems. BodyTom™ is the newest offering in NeuroLogica’s portable computed tomography imaging line.
