CALIBRE Honored at 44th Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival with Remi Awards

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--()--CALIBRE was honored with five prestigious Remi Awards at the 44th Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival held in Houston, TX on April 8 – 17, 2011. The Remi Award is inspired by legendary American West artist, Frederic Remington.

CALIBRE was recognized at the Festival and Awards Banquet for creative excellence in video productions in four competition categories: Charitable / Non Profit; Children’s; Public Relations; and Recruiting / Career Guidance.

Awards include a Platinum Award for the “U.S. Army Modeling and Simulation Civilian Program 36” video; a Gold Award for the “Discover Engineering: The Sum of All Thrills” video; and Bronze Awards for the “U.S. Army Modeling and Simulation Functional Area 57” video, the “Discover Engineering: Extreme Enough?” video, and the “Laurel Grove School” video.

WorldFest is one of the longest running independent film and video festivals in the world, having recognized talent such as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Ridley Scott early in their careers.
