In March 2011, Fujitsu selected Solarflare’s SFN5122F enterprise and SFN5162F midrange 10GbE server adapters to bundle with the Fujitsu XG series Ethernet switches, including the XG2600 high–performance, ultra-low latency switch, and create a one-stop-shop for high-performance networking solutions. As network bandwidth increases, ultra-fast switching and network latency are increasingly important for maintaining true network performance. In time-sensitive, high-performance computing environments that rely on real-time applications—including financial trading environments, live video streaming and communications—low-latency networking solutions are mission critical.
