PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CompanionLink® Software, Inc., a leading provider of mobile sync solutions for Google® Android™ devices, announces two-way synchronization with Motorola® DROID™ 2. CompanionLink synchronizes contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between DROID 2 and PC software such as Microsoft® Outlook®, Outlook Business Contact Manager, IBM® Lotus Notes, Novell® GroupWise, FrontRange® GoldMine™, Palm® Desktop, and ACT! by Sage. CompanionLink offers two ways to sync with DROID 2 – direct USB sync and wireless sync using Google.
Direct USB sync with DROID 2 works in tandem with an Android app called DejaOffice™, a mobile contact manager suite with address book, calendar, tasks and notes apps. Data can sync two-ways between PC and DejaOffice using the USB cable that comes with DROID 2.
Wireless sync through Google relies on the built-in integration the DROID 2 has with Google Contacts and Google Calendar. CompanionLink synchronizes PC contacts, calendar and tasks to Google, which then synchronizes over-the-air to the DROID 2. Changes made on DROID 2 will sync back to Google and then to the PC through CompanionLink.
“CompanionLink helps the DROID 2 sync with Microsoft Outlook for people not using Microsoft Exchange,” says Rushang Shah, Director of Marketing for CompanionLink Software, Inc. “With CompanionLink, the DROID 2 becomes an extension of their PC, allowing professionals to carry their Outlook data in their hands.”
CompanionLink’s sync solutions for Android are available for a one-time cost starting at $39.95. More information, including a 14-day free evaluation of the software, is available at www.companionlink.com/droid2.
