Mujin Launches Software Subscription for Robotics, Shifting Automation to a Recurring Software Model
New subscription model delivers ongoing upgrades, dedicated support, data insights, and a more accessible entry point for robotics
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mujin Corp., a global leader in intelligent robotic automation, today announced a subscription service model for MujinOS, the company’s flagship operating system. The program provides customers with continuous access to the latest software upgrades, dedicated technical support, and dashboards enabling more predictable operating costs, faster innovation cycles, and sustained performance introspection across their automation environments.
The new offering marks a strategic shift from traditional industry-standard of one-time software licensing to a recurring subscription model, enabling customers to continuously access the latest capabilities while benefiting from proactive remote support and ongoing system optimization. By delivering automation intelligence as a managed software service, Mujin allows warehouse and manufacturing operators to analyze and maintain peak performance across their robotic systems allowing them to reduce operating costs and increase operational certainty.
With a dedicated engineering team actively developing MujinOS, Mujin will deliver a steady stream of software upgrades that will constantly expand functionality and strengthen reliability. Under the new program, subscribing customers may choose to integrate new features as they become available allowing their robotic systems to benefit from the latest advances in vision algorithms, motion planning, orchestration, robotic drivers, analytics, and user experience.
“The shift to a subscription service model is fundamentally changing how customers keep up with the latest and greatest in automation advancements,” said Ross Dainkov, Co-Founder and CEO of Mujin. “With the MujinOS subscription model, our customers aren’t just deploying a system; they are investing in a “brain" that continuously evolves, improves performance, and adapts to their operations over time.”
The MujinOS subscription model includes fully managed system upgrades delivered by Mujin’s expert field engineering team. Moving beyond conventional remote patching, Mujin takes a hands-on, service driven approach deploying the latest MujinOS capabilities directly within customer environments, validating system performance, and actively monitoring operations to ensure a seamless transition with zero unplanned disruption. This ensures better uptime and business continuity for customers whose systems are in production and need to maximize their uptime and operational stability.
In addition to continuous upgrades, the program includes a bank of dedicated support hours and access to Mujin’s customer portal for streamlined issue tracking, ticket management, and system monitoring. Subscribers can engage Mujin’s technical team remotely for troubleshooting, system customization, and operational guidance keeping production lines running at peak efficiency.
The program is designed to serve two key audiences. End users benefit from continuous system improvements, proactive support, and the confidence that their investment increases in capability over time. System integrators gain faster deployment and simplified commissioning, while enabling end users to configure and adjust pallet builds through intuitive, no-code tools reducing engineering dependency and accelerating time to value.
The new subscription model also introduces a more economical pathway into Mujin’s palletizing solutions. By shifting from a traditional capital only purchase to an operational expenditure model, Mujin intends to lower the barrier to entry and gives customers a predictable cost structure that includes ongoing software enhancements and support.
The offering will initially be available for the Single SKU Palletizing application, with additional Mujin applications scheduled to be incorporated later this year as part of the company’s broader automation platform strategy.
The MujinOS subscription service model will be available in Standard and Premium tiers, offering flexible levels of support hours and service coverage. The company will be highlighting the program and demonstrating MujinOS capabilities at MODEX 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia. Attendees are invited to visit the Mujin booth (B 9519) to learn more and see the technology in action. This reflects the company’s broader strategy to deliver automation as an evolving software platform, combining advanced robotics intelligence with enterprise grade lifecycle support. By aligning robotic intelligence innovation, operational visibility, and proactive service within a recurring model, Mujin continues to expand its role as a long term automation partner for manufacturers, logistics providers, and retailers worldwide.
