FlightSafety International and Augusta Regional Airport Host the Final Approach Lounge, the First Dedicated Pilot and Crew Hospitality Suite During Masters® Week

Hospitality suite and support center provides pilots and crew space to recharge and coordinate flights during airport’s busiest week of the year

AUGUSTA, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FlightSafety International Inc. (FSI), the global leader in aviation training and simulation technology, today announced it will partner with Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) to host the Final Approach Lounge, a dedicated pilot hospitality and support center within the Airport’s temporary fixed-base operator (FBO) facility during the 2026 Masters® Tournament.

The initiative is designed to support flight crews operating through AGS during one of the busiest periods of private aviation activity in the United States. Each year during the Masters® Tournament, the Airport experiences a significant increase in aircraft arrivals and departures as thousands of visitors travel to attend the events at Augusta National Golf Club. To accommodate the surge in activity, the Airport opens a temporary FBO facility.

The hospitality suite, named the “Final Approach Lounge” created in partnership with AGS, will provide pilots and crews with a dedicated area to relax, enjoy refreshments, and participate in activities. FSI will also provide golf cart transportation to pilots and crews around the airfield, enhancing efficiency during peak traffic periods. The hospitality suite will operate Wednesday, April 8 through Sunday, April 12, supporting flight crews during the Airport’s busiest week of the year.

“Masters® week brings a heavy concentration of aviation activity to Augusta,” said Michele Posey, Executive Vice President of Sales, FlightSafety International. “While passengers attend the tournament, pilots and crews supporting those flights often remain at the Airport for extended time periods. Our partnership with the Augusta Regional Airport, reflects a shared commitment to the aviation professionals behind every flight.”

In addition to the hospitality suite, the Final Approach Lounge includes a dedicated support center for on-site flight operations. Crews will be able to connect directly with the AGS staff to process paperwork, pay fees, and finalize flight plans.

“This partnership with FSI reflects the enhancement of the amenity and resource package we provide for the many corporate and business aviation partners that patronize AGS during Masters® Week. Ensuring flight crews have top of the line facilities and services is key in their ability to reset, recharge, and be at their best for their patrons,” said Herbert L. Judon, Jr., Airport Executive Director.

Located 12 miles from Augusta National Golf Club, the Augusta Regional Airport experiences a significant influx in private aviation traffic during Masters® week and expects between 3,500 and 3,800 aircraft arrivals and departures during the tournament. To support the demand, the Airport has added 500,000 square feet of ramp space, allowing up to 200 aircraft on the ground at one time.
