Corporate Partner Arman Pahlavan Joins Dorsey in Palo Alto

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arman Pahlavan has joined Dorsey & Whitney LLP as a Partner in the Emerging Companies group in Palo Alto, the international law firm announced today.

A leading Silicon Valley attorney, Arman focuses his corporate practice on advising emerging companies and the investors who back them, including venture capital funds, private equity firms, and public and private portfolio companies. His deal work spans special purpose acquisition companies (SPAC)-related M&A, and acquisitions with private equity and strategic buyers. He also advises clients in corporate finance and intellectual property transactions, with deep experience in investment fund formation. Arman serves corporate clients navigating cross-border transactions and public market activity, and he counsels private equity sponsors and portfolio companies. With billions in aggregate transaction value, Arman has helped companies obtain their first institutional round and recruit CEOs to drive scaling and enhance future fundraising. Beyond traditional private fund work, sovereign wealth funds have relied on him to establish investment structures domestically and internationally. Arman also advises companies and their boards of directors on strategies for “bet-the-company” litigation.

Arman joins Dorsey from Perkins Coie LLP, where he was a partner. He received his J.D. from University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and his B.A. from University of California, Berkeley.

“A seasoned Silicon Valley attorney with a robust network, Arman will deepen our ties with venture and private equity communities in the Bay Area,” said Kevin Maler, Dorsey’s Emerging Companies/Venture Capital Practice Group Leader. “Arman’s network, practice breadth, experience, and team building approach make him a strong fit for Dorsey. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

“Dorsey’s Emerging Companies practice leverages a national and international network to provide comprehensive business and legal counsel for every stage of business growth,” said Arman Pahlavan. “I’m proud to join this elite group and look forward to championing our clients’ success.”
