Bryan Devore of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties Launches New Reality Show to Help Seniors

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bryan Devore of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties recently launched Senior Spaces, a reality-based TV show now airing on Cox Cable, Roku, YouTube@SeniorSpacesTV, and in San Diego on KUSI News, designed to guide seniors through the emotional and financial complexities of deciding how they will live the next chapter of their lives. By taking the viewer along with Devore and his clients as they consider the decision-making process, the show provides insight, inspiration, and practical advice.

“The process of deciding how to live the next chapter of life – whether it’s aging in place in their current home, or downsizing to a smaller home, or moving to a senior living community – can be a daunting and emotionally wrought process. The goal of the show is to show seniors and their families their options as well as all of the resources that are available to help make it happen,” said Devore, a 23-year market veteran.

Connecting the senior population to local resource providers that can assist with their transition is another key aspect of the show. Over the years, Devore has built and personally vetted a large network of contacts, including local contractors, attorneys, landscapers, home stagers, and home care providers.

“A big part of this is preparation. So many of my clients haven’t discussed these things, then they’re forced to make decisions and scramble when a crisis occurs,” added Devore. “There are a lot of factors to consider when thinking about downsizing, selling a treasured family home or moving to a senior community. The show aims to present the information in a fun, approachable format.”

Devore is a leading Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), as well as a Certified Probate and Trust Specialist. He was recently named one of San Diego Business Journal’s Influential Leaders in Real Estate.

Devore has consistently ranked in the top ½ of 1 percent of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices global network, which consists of nearly 40,000 agents. He is the Director of the Senior Division of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties and currently serves on the boards of two local non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of seniors.

One organization that Devore volunteers with is ElderHelp, which supports seniors aging in place through specialized services aimed at keeping them independent. “I sometimes joke that my professional job is helping seniors sell their homes and find a new home that is a better fit for their needs, but my philanthropic work is aimed at helping them stay in their homes,” Devore explained.
