RUSH Announces Device Lifecycle Services to Simplify Enterprise IT Device Management
Standardized service helps enterprise IT teams streamline provisioning, support, recovery, and secure end-of-life processing for laptop programs at scale.
WEST HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RUSH Computer Rentals today announced the launch of Device Lifecycle Services (DLS), a standardized and scalable offering designed to reduce the operational burden on internal IT teams, improve end-user uptime, and bring greater consistency to the management of distributed laptop fleets.

Built for programs ranging from 100 to 2,000+ devices, DLS provides a structured approach to managing devices across the full lifecycle. Services include intake and onboarding, configuration and imaging, kitting and personalization, deployment and logistics, end-user support and swap services, recovery and returns, and end-of-life disposition.
The offering also includes flexible ownership models, predictable fee structures, secure chain of custody, inventory validation, and data sanitization performed in alignment with NIST 800-88 (Purge) guidelines. DLS is designed to help organizations standardize execution, reduce administrative overhead, and maintain tighter control across distributed device environments.
“Device programs have become significantly more complex for IT teams as workforces become more distributed and service expectations continue to rise,” said Jim Platner, Vice President and General Manager of RUSH Computer Rentals. “With Device Lifecycle Services, RUSH delivers a dependable, enterprise-grade operating model that helps organizations standardize device provisioning, support users more consistently, and free internal IT teams to focus on higher-value priorities. Importantly, customers can leverage these services whether they rent or purchase equipment through RUSH.”
According to RUSH, DLS is well-suited for common enterprise use cases such as contractor onboarding and offboarding, employee device refresh initiatives, long-term project deployments, distributed workforce provisioning, and asset recovery programs. The service is backed by audit trails, reporting, SLA-based execution, and alignment with customer security policies throughout the device lifecycle.
