CFP Board Releases “Financial Planning Superhero: Kids at Work” Curriculum for Firms Participating in Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CFP Board today released “Financial Planning Superhero: Kids at Work,” a flexible, plug‑and‑play curriculum designed to help financial planning firms host engaging educational experiences for children during national Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day on April 23, 2026.

“When kids are introduced to these ideas early in a way that’s fun and engaging, it can shape how they understand and approach money for the rest of their lives," said CFP Board CEO K. Dane Snowden.

CFP® Professionals Are Superheroes!

This day-long activity plan includes CFP Board’s “Financial Planning Superhero Kickoff,” a kid‑friendly introduction to the role of financial planners as superheroes, who use their Listening Power, Math Power, Planning Power and Helping-Heart Power to defeat the Overspending Monster, the Forget-to-save-Goblin and The Confusion Cloud. The curriculum also includes a “Find Someone Who” scavenger hunt, that turns children into Junior Financial Agents as they explore the office and meet employees who can share simple lessons about earning, saving and spending money.

Designed for children in Grades K-5, the curriculum includes a sample schedule, in‑office activity menu, hands‑on learning stations, scavenger‑hunt‑style challenges and the optional “At‑Home Guide for Parents” with practical ideas to continue money conversations and reinforce the lessons in this curriculum.

“Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day gives children a window into the work their parents do and the difference financial planning can make for families,” said CFP Board CEO K. Dane Snowden. “When kids are introduced to these ideas early in a way that’s fun and engaging, it can shape how they understand and approach money for the rest of their lives.”
