Utility Trailer Leads a Year of Nationwide Dealer Expansion
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Utility Trailer announced that its dealer network is experiencing one of its most active periods of expansion and realignment in recent years, with acquisitions, new facilities, and strategic relocations strengthening service coverage across North America. This past year, dealers from the West Coast to the Southeast to Mexico have invested heavily in parts availability, service capacity, and geographic reach to support growing transportation demands.
Most recently, Southeast Utility Trailer opened a new full-service dealership in Chilhowie, Virginia, marking its 10th dealer location. The new Chilhowie facility sits directly between Utility’s two Virginia manufacturing plants, Atkins, where the company builds its 3000R® refrigerated trailers, and Glade Spring, where it produces the 4000D-X Composite® dry van. This placement expands Utility’s regional service capacity and significantly enhances support for fleet operators.
“The Chilhowie dealership is a good example of how our dealers are stepping up to provide faster service, expanded parts availability, and dependable coverage where fleets need it most,” said Mark Glasgow, Chief of Sales for Utility Trailer. “Across our network, dealers are making strategic, long-term investments that will deliver more consistent, dependable support for customers.”
Further proof of this includes expansions in the West, being led by Utility Trailer of California, which started at the beginning of 2025 with the acquisition of TNT Sales of Oregon, now operating as Pacific Coast Utility Trailer, and then later acquiring a new parts and service location at Delhi in California’s Central Valley. The dealer is also in the process of acquiring Western Trailer Repair’s parts and service operations in Seattle, Washington, reinforcing its focus on aftermarket support.
Utility Trailer Sales of Colorado, operating as Utility Trailer Interstate, also extended its footprint with a new full-service facility in Cheyenne, Wyoming, marking its 3rd location along the Rocky Mountain region.
In the Midwest and Plains regions, Ozark Utility and Craftsmen Utility Trailer each launched new full-service sites in Neosho, Missouri, and Quincy, Illinois, respectively. Meanwhile, Mid States Utility Trailer relocated its main office to a new facility in Papillion, Nebraska near Omaha.
Interstate Utility Trailer is experiencing even greater growth, opening a dedicated parts and mobile service facility to support the Cleveland market in Valley View, Ohio, along with a new full-service location to support the Louisville, Kentucky region in Sellersburg, Indiana. They’ve also just recently started construction on a second Cincinnati-area full-service dealership in Franklin, Ohio – future home of the company’s headquarters.
The southern U.S. has also seen major realignment. Utility Trailer Sales Southeast Texas acquired Utility Trailer of Dallas and rebranded as Utility Trailer of Texas, accompanied by a major new facility in Amarillo. The expanded organization provides greater service capacity, improved parts accessibility, and broader coverage across key markets in Texas. In addition, Southern States Utility is also completing its acquisition of Utility Trailer Sales of Tennessee in Lebanon, strengthening its presence in the Nashville market.
Building on this momentum, Utility Trailers de Mexico has expanded its presence as well, adding nine new dealer locations and bringing its total to 13 nationwide. This growth strengthens cross-border support and ensures fleets in Mexico receive the same elevated service coverage and parts availability offered throughout the U.S. and Canada.
“Dealers are investing aggressively to meet the evolving needs of today’s fleets,” added Glasgow. “These expansions fuel innovation, broaden our capabilities, and ensure customers have access to the advanced resources they need to run smarter, more efficient operations.”
Utility dealers are also authorized Cargobull providers, offering fleets access to replacement parts, TRU support, telematics expertise, and an increasing number of mobile and 24/7 service options.
With freight markets stabilizing and equipment lifecycles lengthening, the Utility Trailer dealer network is positioning itself to lead in regional support from coast to coast.
