This highly anticipated two-day sale offers a stunning array of Tiffany & Co. jewels, fine and modern art, silver and antiques from distinguished Southern California estates and collections

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Abell Auction Co. is thrilled to present “Significant Estates: Magnificent Jewels and Distinguished Art” on March 21 and 22. Highlighted by a Los Angeles collection of Tiffany & Co. jewels, the two-day event brings together a striking selection of vintage jewelry, fine and modern art, antiques, silver and other rare items from premier Southern California estates. March 21: Fine Art, Antiques and Decorative Art

The first day of the sale will present a distinctive selection of fine art, important antiques, silver and decorative arts from prominent private estates and collections. With works ranging from European paintings to Asian decorative objects, the March 21 session offers collectors exceptional depth and variety.

Featured fine art will include Marc Chagall’s “Les Saltimbanques” ($50,000-$70,000); Maurice Utrillo’s “Eglise de Pomremy (Vosges) - Sainte Jeanne D’Arc” ($10,000-$20,000); Edouard Leon Cortes’ “Parisian Street Scene at Dusk” ($10,000-$15,000); Charles Van Den Eycken II’s “Qui est la? (Who is there?)” ($10,000-$15,000); Jan Anthonisz Van Ravesteijn’s “Portrait of a Woman” ($10,000-$15,000); Honore Daumier’s “Ratapoil” ($7,000-$10,000); Pierre Auguste Renoir’s “Le chapeau epingle” ($20,000-$30,000); and Armin Carl Hansen’s “Fishermen on a Dock” ($10,000-$20,000).

Also featured on March 21 will be notable Asian works of art and decorative objects, led by a very rare large Korean iron-brown dragon jar ($20,000-$30,000) and Korean bale-shaped bottle ($10,000-$15,000); an Indian miniature “Radha Meeting Krishna at the Hour of Cowdust” ($8,000-$12,000); a Tiffany Studios Favrile glass floriform vase ($2,000-$3,000); and a Pairpoint reverse-painted glass table lamp ($500-$700).

March 22: Tiffany Jewels, Modern Art and Contemporary Art

The second day of the auction will spotlight more than 40 Tiffany & Co. jewels, complemented by nearly 100 additional jewelry lots and a strong selection of modern and contemporary art.

Among the standout art offerings are Anish Kapoor’s “Untitled” ($300,000-$500,000); Andy Warhol’s “Marilyn Monroe (Marilyn)” ($100,000-$200,000); Larry Poons’ “Playing Hammers” ($70,000-$100,000); and Francisco Zuniga’s “Crouching Woman” ($40,000-$60,000).

Jewelry offerings on March 22 include Cartier’s “The Alignment of the Planets” 18-karat white gold and Tahitian pearl cuff bracelet ($100,000-$200,000) and a pair of diamond stud earrings ($60,000-$80,000). The Tiffany & Co. collection is led by a Schlumberger 18-karat yellow gold, enamel and multi-stone parrot brooch ($20,000-$30,000); an Angela Cummings 18-karat yellow gold, lapis lazuli and mother-of-pearl bangle bracelet ($8,000-$12,000); a platinum and diamond “Victoria” tennis bracelet ($7,000-$10,000); and a Paloma Picasso 18-karat yellow gold bangle bracelet ($8,000-$12,000).
