Portland Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Returns May 1-5, 2026 for its 39th Annual Celebration at Waterfront Park

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Portland Guadalajara Sister City Association (PGSCA) and Treadway Events proudly announces the return of the 39th Annual Portland Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, taking place May 1-5, 2026 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in downtown Portland. Recognized as Oregon’s largest multicultural festival, the five-day celebration honors Mexican heritage through music, food, art, and cultural traditions.

Each year, the Portland Cinco de Mayo Fiesta brings together tens of thousands of attendees from across the Pacific Northwest for an immersive cultural experience along the Willamette River. The festival highlights the rich traditions of Mexico while celebrating the strong ties between Portland and its sister city, Guadalajara.

The 2026 festival will feature a vibrant lineup of programming and attractions, including:

  • Live Music & Cultural Performances featuring renowned mariachi groups, regional artists, and international performers
  • Authentic Mexican Cuisine from more than 40 food vendors offering traditional dishes, drinks, and sweets
  • Guadalajara Artisan Village, showcasing handcrafted goods and cultural art from talented artisans
  • Family Carnival, with rides and games for all ages
  • Plaza de Niños, featuring cultural crafts, games, activities, and free face painting for children
  • Sunday Mariachi Mass, a cherished cultural and spiritual tradition
  • Lucha Libre Wrestling & RIP City Boxing Tournament

“The Portland Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is a celebration of culture, community, and connection,” said event organizers. “For nearly four decades, the festival has provided an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to experience the beauty of Mexican traditions while bringing our community together in one of Portland’s most iconic public spaces.”

The festival will take place daily at Tom McCall Waterfront Park (98 SW Naito Parkway, Portland, OR) with the following hours:

  • Friday, May 1st - Sunday, May 3rd: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
  • Monday, May 4th - Tuesday. May 5th: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Tickets are on sale now, and attendees are encouraged to purchase early. The sooner you buy, the more you save, with pricing increasing as the event approaches.
