Stubbs’ background includes business acquisition representation combined with experience in corporate and employment law, commercial litigation, and in-house C-suite management. This experience allows her to help sellers anticipate legal considerations, avoid potential pitfalls, and move through transactions in a smoother and more strategic manner.

Stubbs has led sell-side and buy-side due diligence, drafted and negotiated transaction documents, and supported deal execution across healthcare, education, retail, services, and real estate. Her experience helps business owners reduce risk, protect value, and move transactions forward with clarity and structure.

“I’m passionate about helping business owners navigate complex transactions with clarity and confidence,” Stubbs said. “My role is to help sellers enter the market with defensible financials, clear documentation, and a strategy that protects value from diligence through closing.”

Prior to joining Menlo Business Brokerage, Stubbs served as a business advisor and attorney in a transaction advisory environment and practiced at a large regional law firm. She earned her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School and also holds a bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Brigham Young University.

In her role at Menlo Business Brokerage, Stubbs will work closely with business owners throughout the transition process, helping guide transactions from valuation through closing with careful attention to detail and risk mitigation.

“Emily brings a strong combination of transactional insight and legal experience to our team,” said Mitch Lamb, MBA, CEO of Menlo Business Brokerage. “Her background in acquisition representation and corporate law strengthens our ability to help sellers approach transactions in a smarter, more disciplined way. We’re excited to welcome her to Menlo.”
