Golden State Storm Bolsters Executive Leadership with Appointment of Four Changemakers to Board of Advisors

These additional board members join the Bay Area’s newest pro women’s football franchise, bringing elite expertise in women’s sports, global finance, luxury brand strategy, and organizational growth

OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Golden State Storm, Northern California’s newest professional women’s football franchise, today announced the strategic appointment of Meghin Williams, Eric Deardorff, CPA, Kenny Moore, and JaSin Carlen to its Board of Advisors. As the organization accelerates preparations for its inaugural 2026 season in the Women's National Football Conference (WNFC), these high-level appointments bring a powerful intersection of global finance, luxury marketing, and strategic growth to the organization.

Meet the New Board of Advisors

  • Meghin Williams: As a leader in athlete empowerment, Meghin is a collegiate basketball executive who became general manager of the California Golden Bears women's basketball team in 2025 after having previously served as assistant athletics director and chief of staff for the Virginia Tech Hokies women's basketball team. Previously she was the director of operations at the University of North Carolina, assistant director of internal operations at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and Director of Operations at Princeton University. Meghin brings deep operational, fundraising, and program-building expertise to the Storm where her leadership will be essential to the organization’s long-term vision.
  • Eric Deardorff, CPA: A transformation-driven finance and operations leader, Eric Deardorff brings over 35 years of global experience across corporate governance, financial stewardship, and luxury brand leadership. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Special Committee for the NYSE-listed Soho House & Co Inc. His distinguished career includes serving as CEO of the world’s oldest jewelry house, Garrard, as well as Nicole Farhi and BLK DNM. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, bringing elite strategic insight to the Storm’s long-term vision.
  • Kenny Moore: A premier marketing executive with 17+ years leading premium brands across lifestyle, luxury, and FMCG sectors. Kenny currently serves as the Head of Marketing Innovation at The Clorox Company and previously served as Head of Marketing at LVMH/Moët Hennessy. With extensive experience in sports marketing, Kenny has negotiated and activated major partnerships with the NFL, Formula 1, and NASCAR, and he played a pivotal role in the launch of SirDavis Whiskey, a joint venture with Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. His experience in elevating high-profile brands and building passionate fan communities will be instrumental as the Storm expands its regional and national footprint.
  • JaSin Carlen: A veteran wealth advisor with over three decades of experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently a Sr. Wealth Advisor at Alpha Wealth Management and Planning, JaSin specializes in holistic financial planning and active investment management. A graduate in Economics from San Diego State University and a lifelong athlete, youth sports coach, and community mentor, JaSin brings a deep understanding of the Bay Area’s culture, values, and long-term investment landscape to the Storm as they build a sustainable, community-anchored organization.
