Glean Assistant: An Expert Agentic Coworker Built for Everyone’s Work
Glean Assistant is designed to understand how work actually gets done, tailored to an employee’s role and goals, and be proactive in helping them move work forward.
Built on rich enterprise context, Assistant brings together search, analysis, content creation, and execution in a single experience. Employees gain the ability to work more informed, more creative, and more capable, combining human judgment with AI-driven insight and action to take on work that once felt out of reach. As a result, users engage with Assistant six times per active day on average. The latest enhancements include:
- Real-time voice collaboration. Glean is introducing real-time voice in Assistant, allowing employees to interact with Glean naturally and hands-free - whether getting briefed while commuting, summarizing long documents across systems, or asking quick questions without typing or searching.
- Company brand aligned slide generation. Expanding on existing content capabilities including document and image generation, Glean Assistant now generates slide presentations grounded in company knowledge and aligned with brand standards (fonts, colors, and visual guidelines), enabling employees to move from idea to polished output near-instantly.
- New canvas capabilities for collaborative creation. New canvas capabilities - including both Slack message and email adaptive user interfaces, and branded slides - allow employees to work hand-in-hand with Glean Assistant from first draft through final review while keeping full enterprise context intact.
- From insight to action across the enterprise. Glean Assistant supports more than 100 actions in connected applications, both native to Glean and available via MCP. Employees can move directly from insight to execution without leaving Assistant. Clear human-in-the-loop controls and admin-defined guardrails ensure work is completed safely across systems including Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Google Calendar, Asana, and Canva.
- Agent sandboxes for deeper research and analysis. Glean is introducing agent sandboxes, secure, lightweight virtual environments equipped with a CLI, code interpreter, filesystem, and tool index, allowing Assistant to analyze large datasets and run long running tasks without LLM context window limitations, continuing to fully respect enterprise permissions.
- Personal graph insights employees can see and control. Building on existing personalization capabilities, users can now view, edit, and delete inferred personal graph details that reflect their role, projects, goals, and preferences. This draws from activity across emails, documents, chats, wikis, and searches (not just chat history) ensuring relevance and transparency, and are LLM-independent, helping inform the work of any model utilized in Glean.
- Proactively organize the workday with agent templates. New agent templates enable employees to surface action items, plan the day around meetings and priorities, and summarize weekly accomplishments. Once work is organized, Glean Assistant partners with the employee to take the next step - helping execute tasks, move projects forward, and turn plans into real outcomes.
