Alera Group Director Sheila Hooda Named to BoardProspects’ Exceptional Private Company Directors and Women’s Inc. Influential Directors Lists

Recognition highlights Hooda’s leadership and impact on corporate governance

DEERFIELD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sheila Hooda, a member of the Alera Group Board of Directors, has been named to both the BoardProspects’ Exceptional Private Company Directors list and Women’s Inc. Magazine’s Most Influential Directors list.

The BoardProspects and Women’s Inc. lists honor the nation’s most influential individuals in the boardroom and corporate governance community. These recognitions celebrate those who exemplify knowledge, leadership, integrity and excellence and who play a significant role in shaping the greater boardroom agenda and bring real value to the companies they serve.

Ms. Hooda was elected to the Alera Group Board in 2024. She is CEO, President and Founder of Alpha Advisory Partners, an advisory firm providing growth strategy, M&A and turnaround services for the financial and business services sectors. Previously, she served as the Global Head of M&A and Corporate Development at TIAA. She has also held senior leadership positions with Thomson Reuters, Credit Suisse Investment Bank and Bankers Trust. Ms. Hooda began her career in the U.S.A. as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co.

An experienced director, Ms. Hooda also serves on the board of Directors of Enact Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: ACT) and AGL Private Credit Income Fund. She previously served on the boards of ProSight Global Inc (NYSE: PROS), ScION Tech Growth I (Nasdaq: SCOA), ScION Tech Growth II (Nasdaq: SCOB), Virtus Investment Partners (Nasdaq: VRTS) and Mutual of Omaha. Her board leadership includes chairing the Nominating & Governance, Risk, and Audit committees across multiple organizations.

Ms. Hooda’s prior recognitions include being an honoree at the National Association of Corporate Directorship 100, Directors and Boards magazine Directors to Watch, BoardProspects’ 100 Asian Pacific Directors Making a Difference and the Financial Times/Agenda D-100. Ms. Hooda is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and holds NACD Directorship certification. She also serves on various nonprofit boards in the areas of Education, Vocational skills development, Women’s empowerment and Rural entrepreneurship.

Ms. Hooda is an alumna of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and earned her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
