Navy Modernization Moves Forward as T6 Health Systems' OpMed CDP Launches Aboard USS Carney
Early fleet deployment strengthens operational readiness and accelerates the Navy’s transition to next-generation medical technology.
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The USS Carney (DDG 64) has officially gone live with T6 Health Systems’ OpMed Care Delivery Platform (CDP), marking a significant advancement in the Navy’s modernization of shipboard medical technology. The new commercial off-the-shelf solution replaces a longstanding electronic health record system and introduces a more agile, mission-ready capability designed to support the realities of care in maritime and contested environments.
As one of the Navy’s earliest implementation sites, Carney will play a critical role in shaping the evolution of OpMed CDP across the fleet. Feedback from medical personnel and operational users will drive rapid refinement cycles and guide deployment strategy as the Navy scales a more resilient, data-driven approach to operational medicine.
OpMed CDP is engineered to provide care teams with a clear, real-time operating picture -streamlining documentation, integrating essential clinical data, sharpening decision making, and enabling health information to move seamlessly with the patient. These advances strengthen readiness and improve continuity of care in the dynamic scenarios faced by sailors and medical staff underway.
"The Navy operates in some of the most demanding environments in the world, and sailors deserve medical technology built for that mission,” said Igor Muravyov, Chief Operating Officer at T6 Health Systems. “The USS Carney’s deployment of OpMed CDP reflects the Department of War’s commitment to modernizing shipboard medicine and ensuring that warfighters have the most advanced technologies to enhance lethality of our forces everywhere.”
The deployment aboard Carney adds to a period of significant growth and momentum for T6 Health Systems. In recent weeks, T6’s technology has gone live at the White House, Brooke Army Medical Center and Al Dhafra Air Base - demonstrating the platform’s versatility across global operational and executive care environments. The company was also recently awarded a multi-year agreement with the Defense Health Agency and PEO DHMS to further configure its commercial offering as a secure, cloud-enabled capability supporting the next generation of operational medicine. These milestones underscore T6’s expanding role as a key technology partner in advancing modern, interoperable solutions across the Military Health System.
