PERFORMANCE EQUITY MANAGEMENT REBRANDS AS SAGARD PRIVATE EQUITY SOLUTIONS

After joining forces with Sagard in 2024, the new name marks both continuity and deepening of the partnership

Performance Equity Management (PEM), a leading private equity solutions provider, today announced that it has rebranded as Sagard Private Equity Solutions (SPES). This marks the completion of its integration into Sagard’s global middle market private equity platform.

The transition builds on the partnership formed in 2024, when Sagard acquired a strategic stake in PEM to expand its private equity capabilities.

“Our partnership with the PEM team has delivered all the benefits we had hoped would materialize when we did the transaction in 2024, and then some,” said Jonathan Tétrault, Managing Partner of Sagard and CEO of Sagard Private Equity Solutions. “With this rebranding coming into effect, we mark our association more formally, and clearly signal our partnership in building a joint private equity platform that can grow with our clients and teams for decades to come.”

“Becoming Sagard Private Equity Solutions marks the next step in our evolution,” said John Clark, formerly President at PEM, now a member of the SPES executive committee. “Our investment philosophy, discipline, and client focus remain unchanged, and are now supported by Sagard’s global resources and network. We will continue to focus on delivering long-term value for our clients and deepening the partnerships that have helped define our approach and investment strategy.”

Founded in 2005, Performance Equity Management established a long-standing record of investing with leading private equity managers across buyout, growth and venture strategies. As Sagard Private Equity Solutions, the team will continue to manage its existing programs and mandates with the same investment discipline and leadership.

The transition is effective November 19, 2025.
