Lynn University launches Blueprint Rewards: a loyalty program for learning

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lynn University today unveiled Blueprint Rewards, an incentive program that allows students to earn scholarships and exclusive perks by participating in meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Inspired by loyalty programs in industries like travel and hospitality, Blueprint Rewards applies a proven engagement model to higher education. Lynn is among the first universities to connect real-world skill-building to financial incentives, helping students build their résumés, gain career-ready credentials and reduce tuition costs.

“We’re constantly exploring new ways to invest in our students’ talents and ambitions,” said Lynn University President Kevin M. Ross. “By connecting financial rewards directly to student engagement, we’re delivering exceptional value for families while providing students a clear, motivating blueprint for success.”

Through Blueprint Rewards, students can earn up to $6,750 in scholarships during their Lynn career, including funding for study tours and a free graduate course. As they make progress, they also receive perks such as campus store discounts and exclusive Lynn merchandise.

Students can earn up to $1,000 each academic year, applied to the following year’s tuition, and an additional $1,500 toward a faculty-led study tour in the U.S. or abroad. Research from The Forum on Education Abroad shows that students who participate in global and experiential learning gain an edge after graduation, often earning higher starting salaries, highlighting the career value of practical experiences outside of the classroom.

Students unlock rewards by earning six career-readiness badges—Leadership, Accountability, Problem Solving, Growth Mindset, Collaboration and Adaptability—each tied to activities like service projects, wellness programs, student leadership and community engagement. To create the badge system, Lynn leveraged research from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) to identify employer-valued attributes and assign activities designed to build each skill.

Students log their experiences through Lynn’s Blueprint app to build a Student Engagement Transcript (SET), a record that showcases their skills and accomplishments outside the classroom. They can also display badges on their LinkedIn profiles to share with future employers.

Blueprint Rewards will be introduced to students in October 2025, with the first opportunity to begin earning rewards in January 2026.
