Income Lab Unveils Game-Changing AI Suite to Transform Advisor Efficiency and Client Engagement

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Income Laboratory, Inc. (Income Lab), maker of award-winning retirement planning software, today announced the launch of an innovative suite of AI tools designed to radically change how financial advisors build and update financial plans, simplify client interactions, and deliver smarter, more dynamic retirement plans.

"Our suite of AI tools was designed to work alongside advisors, not replace them. The tools eliminate hours of work building and updating plans, giving advisors more time to focus on strategy, deepening client relationships, and the human side of advice."

The new AI suite includes three powerful tools—AI Plan Builder, AI Interviewer, and AI Assistant, each created to save advisors time, reduce manual work, and enhance client confidence through automation and intelligent insights.

“AI in financial planning is poised to transform the way advisors work and make them vastly more effective,” said Justin Fitzpatrick, Ph.D., CFA, Co-Founder and President at Income Lab. “Our suite of AI tools was designed to work alongside advisors, not replace them. The new tools eliminate hours of work building and updating plans, giving advisors more time to focus on strategy, deepening client relationships, and the human side of advice.”

  • The AI Plan Builder eliminates time-consuming data entry. It turns unstructured data from notes, documents, reports, forms, and meeting transcripts into comprehensive financial plans in seconds, creating more time for advisors to focus on their more valuable activities.
  • The AI Interviewer guides a client or prospect through a focused conversation that captures the key parts of their financial life that will go into their financial plan. Once the prospect has completed the intake process, the AI goes to work, automatically builds a plan from the responses collected, and alerts the advisor when it’s ready to review.
  • AI Assistant delivers direct, customized answers to advisors' questions. This AI tool explains calculations, gives instructions on how to best use the software, and trains advisors on how to understand and discuss Income Lab plans. It’s perfect for client calls and meetings when advisors need fast, accurate answers.

Together, these innovations mark a major step forward in how advisors create and communicate personalized, tax-smart retirement strategies.

“It’s exciting that AI is meeting advisors where they are, allowing them to use whatever materials they have to build and update plans, whether that’s financial plan PDFs, notes, meeting transcripts or summaries, custom client questionnaires - anything,” said Derek Tharp, Ph.D., CFP®, CLU®, Conscious Capital. “I expect capabilities like this will eliminate huge amounts of tedious work and improve the client and advisor experience.”

The launch reinforces Income Lab’s mission to simplify complex retirement planning through state-of-the-art technology. By embedding AI throughout the advisor workflow, Income Lab is giving financial professionals the ability to serve more clients, more efficiently, without sacrificing quality or confidence. The suite of AI tools is available as a free tech preview to all Income Lab users through the end of the year.

Join us on Tuesday, October 28, at 11 am ET for a webinar featuring Derek Tharp, Ph.D., CFP®, CLU®, Conscious Capital, as we explore how advisors are elevating their practice with AI technology, including Income Lab’s new AI suite of tools.
