UTA Signs Five Nights at Freddy’s Filmmaker Emma Tammi

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leading global talent, entertainment, sports, and advisory company UTA has signed writer and director Emma Tammi for representation in all areas.

Tammi is the filmmaker behind Five Nights at Freddy’s, the global hit from Universal and Blumhouse that became the highest-grossing film in Blumhouse history. Based on the wildly popular video game, the film opened to $80 million domestically despite a day-and-date streaming release, and went on to gross nearly $300 million worldwide. Tammi directed and co-wrote the feature, balancing suspense, world-building, and emotional stakes in a way that resonated far beyond genre audiences.

She recently wrapped production on the hotly anticipated sequel, which is set for release December 5.

Tammi made her feature directorial debut with The Wind, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released by IFC Midnight. With a distinctive visual sensibility and talent for building tension across genres, Tammi has become a director known for surprising audiences.

She will continue to be represented by John Burnham at Atlas Artists and her attorney Andrew Howard at Jackoway Austen.
