Strata Identity Named an Example Vendor in 2025 Gartner® Guidance for Workforce Access Management Report

BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Strata Identity, the Identity Orchestration company, today announced it has been named an Example Vendor in the 2025 Gartner Guidance for Workforce Access Management report by Paul Rabinovich. As noted in the report, “this research helps identity architects to modernize their AM implementations.”

Strata’s Maverics platform unifies SSO across hybrid and multicloud environments without rewriting apps. It bridges modern identity protocols with legacy systems, centralizes session management, and automates IDP failover to prevent downtime.

Strata’s Maverics platform modernizes authentication for non-standard and legacy applications, and simultaneously supports multiple identity providers (IDPs) for failover. As organizations increasingly rely on a mix of legacy and cloud-based identity systems, the need for strong authentication and resilient identity infrastructure have become business imperatives.

According to the Gartner report, “Third-party orchestration tools rewire applications’ authentication flows to take advantage of modern identity services, add new steps unbeknownst to the applications (for example,+1FA) and enrich session tokens using additional data sources. This is typically done through application configuration manipulation and proxying. Integrations with leading AM tools are common.”

Strata will demonstrate the Maverics platform at Identiverse 2025 from June 3-6 at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Nevada in booth #422.

Decoupling Identity from Legacy Infrastructure

Strata’s Maverics platform enables enterprises to unify single sign-on (SSO) across hybrid and multicloud environments without rewriting applications. By decoupling identity from applications, Maverics allows organizations to integrate modern identity protocols like SAML, OIDC, and FIDO with older systems that rely on Kerberos, LDAP, or non-standards-based authentication methods. It also provides centralized session management and automates failover across multiple identity providers to prevent application downtime.

“We believe being named an Example Vendor in this Gartner report validates our mission to address today’s most difficult-to-solve enterprise identity challenges,” said Eric Olden, CEO of Strata Identity. “Unifying SSO, replacing passwords with strong authentication, and IAM resilience are now business-critical requirements that span both legacy and cloud identity systems. Maverics gives organizations the tools to enforce consistent policies, modernize at their own pace, and avoid single points of failure.”

Building an IAM Resilience Strategy through IDP Failover

According to the report: “Gartner qualifies AM (access management) tools as Tier 0 systems, because they facilitate access to many critical enterprise resources. An AM tool’s outage means a business interruption for a significant portion (if not all) of an organization’s workforce.”

In this context, Strata Identity offers an essential layer of redundancy and control, enabling organizations to align their access strategies with broader business continuity and IT resilience objectives.
