Gusto Taps Melio to Launch Bill Pay and Invoicing Solution

Gusto Users Can Pay Vendors And Send Invoices From The Same Place They Manage Payroll, Providing Flexible Payment Options And Automated Bill-Uploading Features

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Melio, a leading accounts payable and receivable platform, and Gusto, a payroll, HR, and benefits provider trusted by more than 400,000 small and mid-sized businesses, are partnering to make it easy for businesses to pay employees, contractors, vendors, and get paid via invoices seamlessly from one platform.

Gusto is the latest in a growing list of financial institutions, SaaS providers, and e-commerce platforms to choose Melio’s embedded accounts payable and receivable solution to offer their customers seamless pay-in and pay-out solutions. Melio’s comprehensive financial management platform provides control, automation, and flexibility, making it the ideal solution for institutions seeking a one-stop shop for key financial services that help their business customers operate and grow.

Today’s small and mid-sized business owners have two main expenses: payroll and vendor payments. For more than a decade, Gusto has enabled businesses to quickly and compliantly hire, pay, onboard, and manage their teams. Now, Gusto is launching Bill Pay to help customers easily manage and pay all vendor payments and business expenses, directly within its platform.

Using Melio’s embedded accounts payable technology, Bill Pay will enable Gusto customers to keep all of their payments in one place, while maintaining control and visibility over their cash flow.

Melio’s technology provides more flexibility for SMBs since they can pay suppliers or vendors with an ACH transfer or credit card, even if the vendor does not accept a credit card payment. Vendors can choose how they want to receive the payment, whether it’s through check or bank transfer. Additionally, bills can be uploaded to the platform by taking a picture, automatic extraction from a user’s email, or syncing with leading accounting software, eliminating the need for manual entry.

Melio also provides Gusto users with an integrated accounts receivable solution, Gusto Invoicing, which enables businesses to send invoices to their buyers and get paid quickly, helping to manage cash flow.

B2B payments are the bedrock for buyer-supplier relationships, but many SMBs still use disparate or manual accounts payable and receivable processes that create inefficiencies. Melio’s solution simplifies the entire payment and collection process, strengthens relationships with vendors and customers, and gives businesses more cash flow control and visibility into expenses.

“The combination of Gusto’s extensive payroll capabilities and Melio’s accounts payable and receivable automation solution creates one payment and invoicing platform so that SMBs can focus their time and energy on what matters to them most – running their businesses,” said Matan Bar, CEO and co-founder of Melio.
