Orangetheory Fitness’ 2025 Transformation Challenge Invites Members to “Choose Your Reason” and Energize Their Fitness Goals

The annual eight-week program returns Jan. 13 with proven results, a focus on metabolism-boosting outcomes and an exclusive January membership offer

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Orangetheory Fitness (OTF), the global leader in science-backed, technology-tracked group fitness, has announced the return of its annual Transformation Challenge, running from January 13 to March 9, 2025. This year’s theme encourages members to “Choose Your Reason” as a kick-start to fitness routines designed to supercharge the metabolism, build muscle and boost energy.

Now in it’s eighth year, with over 142,000 participants in 2024 – a 6.26% increase over the previous year – Orangetheory's Transformation Challenge stands as one of the largest real-world demonstrations of the impact of a consistent, total-body strength and cardio training program. The data collected provides powerful evidence supporting how Orangetheory workouts deliver results and energize lives.

“By focusing more on body fat reduction and muscle gain – not just weight loss – we help members prioritize healthy body composition,” said Brittany Leboeuf, PhD, Research Scientist at Orangetheory Fitness. “A healthy body composition is a key marker of a high-functioning metabolism, which is proven to reduce the risk of chronic disease and supports a longer, more vibrant life – our guiding purpose at Orangetheory.”

Orangetheory’s annual Transformation Challenge has a proven track record of success for those who completed the challenge over the 8-week duration:

  • An average of 8.6% reduction in body fat
  • An average a 2.6% increase in muscle mass

Participating members take two professional InBodyTM scans, before and after, tracking their progress while committing to a minimum of three workouts per week for six of the eight weeks. Eligible class types include Orange 60 and Orange 90 – as well as Strength 50, and Tread 50 that can be used to customize a fitness program according to the primary goal chosen.

“The Transformation Challenge is about inspiring people to take that first step and then celebrating the incredible results – no matter where they’re starting from,” said Rachel Vaziralli, Director of Fitness Design at Orangetheory Fitness. “Through our science-backed programming, OTconnectTM technology, and expert coaching, we help people form essential, healthy habits that last well beyond eight weeks, helping them be functionally stronger and live life with more energy.”

In addition to class programming, participants will also have access to exclusive resources like weekly wellness tips and expert-led webinars hosted by Stronger U Nutrition. The challenge focuses on personal transformation, helping participants become stronger, healthier and more energized.

Registration for the Transformation Challenge is now open and will remain available through Jan. 26, 2025, via the Orangetheory app or in local studios. A $35 registration fee applies in addition to regular class costs.

To help members kickstart their fitness journey, Orangetheory is offering a New Join Incentive: Join as a Premier Member between January 1-31, 2025, and receive $50 off your first month.
