GoldenTV and Character Media Announce 22nd Annual Unforgettable Gala Honorees

–2024 Honorees include Cast, Creatives of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Dìdi, Shōgun, More at Largest Celebration of API Entertainment Excellence and Creativity–

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 22nd Annual Unforgettable Gala (UNFO), the premier Asian American awards gala produced by GoldenTV and Character Media, is set to honor the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community’s biggest and brightest talents in entertainment, arts and culture. The 2024 top honorees include a powerful lineup of trailblazers across film, television, digital media and entertainment:

  • Joan Chen (Chungsing Wang in Dìdi) – Actor in Film
  • Anna Sawai (Lady Toda Mariko in Shōgun) – Actor in TV
  • Izaac Wang (Chris Wang in Dìdi) – Breakout in Film
  • Hoa Xuande (The Captain in The Sympathizer) – Breakout in TV
  • Sean Wang (Dìdi) – Director
  • Rachel Kondo (Shōgun) – Writer
  • Vivian Tu (Your Rich BFF) – Digital Influencer
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender Cast (Netflix live-action adaptation) – Vanguard Award

The awards are voted upon and determined by an all-star selection committee co-chaired by Adele Lim and Eugene Lee Yang and including Awkwafina, Bing Chen, Destin Daniel Cretton, Daniel Dae Kim, Lisa Ling, Simu Liu, Randall Park, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Janet Yang and more. This year’s award presenters include actress Anna Cathcart, CAPE executive director Michelle Sugihara, actor Daniel Wu, and many more to be announced.

Exciting live performances can be expected at every Unforgettable Gala, and this year is no exception with headliner WONHO, iconic API group THE JETS, and special guest 98 DEGREES, along with many more surprises, at the Dec. 14 event, taking place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. A special awards show broadcast of the Unforgettable Gala will air on Dec. 18 on ChimeTV powered by GoldenTV and streaming at GetGolden.TV.

Established in 2002, the Unforgettable Gala has become the API community’s largest and longest-running awards gala, an end-of-year celebration of creativity, resilience and cultural impact.
