Introducing the Nextbase Piqo – Smallest Model Ever From the World’s Leading Dash Cam Brand

The Piqo is Nextbase’s most discreet smart dash cam, combining cutting-edge driver safety and vehicle security with exceptional convenience and value

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nextbase, the global leader in dash cam technology, today announced the launch of the all-new Piqo, the brand’s most discreet model ever packaged with powerful protection. Available starting at just $129.99 USD / $179.99 CAD, the compact dash cam packs Nextbase’s robust collection of potentially life-saving features, alongside the world-class image quality Nextbase is renowned for, and an all-new, easy-to-use app.

Available in two specifications, Piqo 1K (Full Ultra-Wide HD/1080p) and Piqo 2K (Quad HD/1440p) both deliver superior image quality, automatically lock footage during collisions, and offer tracking via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The crash-tested ClickMount ensures secure installation. Piqo combines dash cam essentials with innovation and simplicity for trusted protection on every journey.

Emergency SOS, powered by highly accurate 10Hz GPS and G-sense+ technology, automatically alerts emergency services and supplies precise location information in the event of an accident in which the driver becomes incapacitated. Additionally, both Piqo models incorporate the innovative technology first introduced in Nextbase’s award-winning iQ smart dash cam, offering new “Lite” versions of core features at a fraction of the cost.

Guardian Mode Lite monitors your vehicle when being driven by someone else (such as a family member, valet, or mechanic) and automatically saves timestamped, GPS-marked video clips if triggered by an event, which can then be accessed via the new integrated app when connected to local Wi-Fi. So, if your mechanic is driving over your set speed limit, the footage will be automatically saved and you will be notified. The voice-activated Witness Mode Lite shares in-vehicle footage instantly with a designated emergency contact in case of an incident if connected to Bluetooth when triggered.

The full list of features includes:

  • Guardian Mode Lite – Set parameters on your car’s speed and geofence, so if a friend, child or mechanic uses your car, or travels outside of a fixed area, the files on your Piqo device are protected and it lets you know the second you return.
  • Witness Mode Lite – Whether it’s road rage or a bad situation, this voice-activated feature instantly notifies an emergency contact or designated third party in the event of an accident if Bluetooth is connected when triggered, letting them know you need help.
  • Emergency SOS – Available in all Nextbase lines, and a potential life saver, Emergency SOS provides automatic alerts and dispatch to 911 emergency services with location and critical information following a serious accident.
  • Voice Control – Nextbase native voice control gives you hassle-free direct command for your Piqo, allowing you to keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
  • Smart Parking – Triggers an automatic protected recording of the incident when your car is bumped and notifies you as soon as you’re back within range of your car.
  • User-friendly interface – With ease of sharing, the brand-new Piqo app focuses on driver protection delivering a seamless interactive experience.

Richard Browning, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer for Nextbase, comments: “After establishing our reputation for award winning video imaging and product reliability with our Series 2 dash cams, and receiving global innovation awards for our pioneering iQ smart dash cam, we listened to our customers and developed the product for every driver. Piqo combines a smaller, sleeker profile with the most sought-after features from our Series 2 and introduces versions of the essential safety and security technology that debuted in iQ. Paired with an easy-to-use app and an affordable price, Piqo provides unmatched value, making driver safety and vehicle security more accessible to everyone.”

The all-new Piqo app is designed around vehicle protection and ensures a seamless experience for drivers. With an inclusive dashboard, the app offers a more user-friendly, interactive experience, allowing users to stay connected with others in the Piqo community.
