Tom Spano joins BBH, Bringing his Expertise to Clients Across the Mid-Atlantic Region

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) is pleased to announce the expansion of its Philadelphia Multi-Family Office team with the addition of Tom Spano. Tom joins the experienced BBH team in Philadelphia as a Managing Director and will focus on deepening its relationships with the region’s private business owners, wealthy families, and local endowments, foundations, and non-profit institutions.

Tom brings over 20 years of investment management experience and joins BBH from Hirtle, Callaghan & Co., where he was responsible for leading institutional and family relationships in Philadelphia and across the Southeast. In this role, Tom collaborated with institutions and families to guide strategic decision-making on asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection and risk management.

Tom is also deeply involved with the greater Philadelphia community. He is on the board of Community Backstop, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping local families in need. Tom also served as the Treasurer, Investment Committee Chair, and an Executive Committee member of The First Tee of Philadelphia from 2016 – 2022, a youth development organization that introduces golf and its inherent values through golf clinics and education. He was also the Vice Chairman and Investment Committee Chair for the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship from 2013 – 2023, which provides college scholarships and mentorship to deserving caddies.
