COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jumpmind, Inc., a leading provider of innovative retail technology solutions, today announced The Paper Store is now live running Jumpmind Commerce, the vendor’s flagship Point of Sale (POS) offering that empowers store associates and shoppers through modern and efficient experiences.

Jumpmind Commerce has been deployed on 800 Apple iPad and iPhone devices, across its estate of 105+ store locations in only one month, providing the speed-to-value today’s retailers need, as they innovate and modernize their in-store retail technology.

With its fully microservices-based, API-first and cloud-native architecture, Jumpmind Commerce powers Point of Sale and “endless aisle” customer fulfillment through seamless integration with The Paper Store’s existing order management system. The Paper Store is also leveraging Jumpmind Inventory to support streamlined back-of-house merchandise receiving, as well as replenishment to the store floor.

The specialty retailer has also deployed the Jumpmind Promote unified promotion solution. The solution is enabling The Paper Store to run more than 200 concurrent promotions, via its modern user interface and simple-to-use functionality that streamlines the building of promotions, eliminating complexity and the use of multiple legacy platforms.

The Jumpmind deployment is part of an overarching reimagining of The Paper Store’s brand, with modern technology as the foundation for growth as the company continues to expand into new geographies, including three new store locations in the Chicagoland area opening in Q2 2024. As well, the company continues to cater to its traditional customer base and appeal to a new generation of shoppers with new offerings including The Paper Store’s own proprietary products that are designed in house, such as its Uncharted Threads line of apparel and accessories.

“Jumpmind understands the retail store – both what’s required operationally, but also – and of equal importance – what’s required for store employees,” said Craig Hewitt, Chief Operating Officer of The Paper Store. “Jumpmind Commerce’s modern, intuitive user interface has reduced our associated training requirements from 3 hours to 15 minutes. We have employees from 16-to-80-years-old using this modern technology and it’s a testament to Jumpmind’s focus on ensuring its solutions are intuitive and easy to use.”

“We’re pleased to be partnered with The Paper Store on its purposeful path to innovation as this enduring retailer celebrates its 80th year in business,” said Joe Corbin, CEO of Jumpmind. “The brand and its store experience continue to be reimagined, ensuring that The Paper Store stays relevant with new generations of modern shoppers.”
