These key hires expand BBH’s capabilities and expertise in the region and reflect the growth of the business

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) is pleased to announce the expansion of its Wealth Management and Multi-Family Office team in Houston with the hiring of Matthew Summers and Matthew Moncrief. These key hires demonstrate the firm’s deep commitment to Houston and Texas, its private business owners, families, and local endowments, foundations, and non-profit institutions. The expansion of the team also reflects the growth of the BBH business in Houston and across the state.

Both Matthew Summers and Matthew Moncrief have joined as Managing Directors on the Relationship Management team. In their roles, they serve as trusted advisors to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families for their investing, wealth planning, and banking needs. Additionally, both have significant experience working with business owners, foundations, and endowments. Matt and Matt continue their 12-year partnership at BBH, bringing extensive experience in wealth advisory to the firm. Prior to joining BBH, both were Client Advisors at Hightower Advisors and before that, Salient Partners.

“Having professionals of the caliber of Matt and Matt join our wealth management team is a testament to our commitment to serving the needs of high-net worth individuals, private business owners, and institutions in Houston and across Texas and the South,” said Bill Hyder, Partner and Head of the Southeast Region at BBH. “We are pleased to enter this next chapter of growth for BBH in the Houston market, executing on our mission to be the preeminent trusted advisor in this region.”

Having long been active in the Houston market, BBH opened its office in Houston in 2021 with the hiring of Ianni Palandjoglou, Managing Director in its Corporate Advisory and Lending practice. Ianni works extensively with private businesses and their owners, providing objective advice and capital.

The team at BBH continues to deepen its ties and commitment to the Houston community and takes its civic engagement seriously. These BBH professionals sit on various boards and are actively engaged in philanthropic activities across the region.
