LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Energy Independence Now (EIN) gathered eco-conscious celebrities, athletes and thought leaders at the Petersen Automotive Museum ahead of Oscars Weekend to raise awareness about its DriveH2 public service initiative and shine a spotlight on its commitment to reducing air pollution and combating climate change.

This event, underscored by a performance from internationally renowned DJ Zen Freeman and engaging experiential activations like racing simulators, was designed to celebrate and promote the zero-emissions movement. Sponsored by Toyota, the manufacturer of the Mirai, a pioneering hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, the event shared the importance of advancing both battery and hydrogen-powered electric vehicles (EVs) as part of a comprehensive approach to achieving environmental sustainability.

Celebrity attendees included Nicky Whelan (Hall Pass); Tim Russ (Star Trek: Voyager); Sofia Milos (CSI Miami); Michael Fishman (Roseanne); Joseph Gatt (Game of Thrones); Giancarlo Giannini (Quantum of Solace); Maria Russell (Jury Duty); Trisha LaFache (Jury Duty); Ariane Andrew (Wrestler, Singer); Jovan Armand (Shazam!); Jill Marie Jones (Girlfriends); Gabriel Sloyer (Griselda); Danielle Vasinova (Kominsky Method); Mayra Veronica (Don Francisco Presents); George Lazenby (On Her Majesty’s Secret Service); Carmit Bachar (Pussycat Dolls); Michelle Bernard (9-1-1); Keith Coogan (Adventures in Babysitting); James DuMont (Righteous Gemstones); Natasha Esca (Narcos: Mexico); Charley Koontz (CSI: Cyber); Jesse Kove (Cobra Kai); Stephen Kramer Glickman (Storks, Big Time Rush); Amanza Smith (Selling Sunset); Jonathan Medina (Primo); Blanca Blanco (influencer); Adrian Dev (Obi Wan Kenobi); Adele Shepherd (Picard); Holly Scarfone (Too Hot to Handle); Matthew Dennis Lewis (Queen’s Gambit); Kate Linder (Young & the Restless); and many additional celebrity guests.

EIN, through its research, policy advocacy and public outreach, promotes the widespread adoption of diverse zero-emissions solutions. Collaborating with Toyota, EIN has facilitated clean vehicle donations to several nonprofit organizations, including the American Red Cross, the Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation, Social Justice Learning Institute, ThinkWatts LA, Via Care, Acceler8, and After-School All-Stars.

Brian Goldstein, EIN's Executive Director, commented, "The DriveH2 Green Pre-Oscar Gala grows more impactful each year, drawing attention to elegant solutions like hydrogen fuel cells. These represent an equitable approach to electrification, enabling quick, communal refueling—a boon for the millions without access to a plug or dedicated parking. We're in the early adopter phase of the hydrogen EV movement, facing challenges like infrastructure development and fuel supply head-on. Hosting the event at the Petersen Automotive Museum was particularly fitting, given its commitment to showcasing the evolution of automotive innovation.”
