Summit Bank: Celebrating 20 Years of Serving Oregon Communities

EUGENE, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today marks a significant milestone for Summit Bank, Oregon's premier community business bank, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Founded in 2004, Summit Bank opened its doors as the first independent community bank in the Eugene/Springfield area in over 25 years, revitalizing the tradition of locally focused banking services.

"Summit Bank came to be as a response to the growing need for a bank that could provide the personalized service that local businesses and professionals deserve," said Paul Weinhold, Chairman of the Board of Directors. "Our inception was a turning point for many who felt underserved by larger banking institutions. Twenty years later, we're proud to have stayed true to our mission of serving the community with dedication and integrity."

Over the past two decades, Summit Bank has experienced remarkable growth, now boasting over one billion in assets. It is the second largest bank headquartered in the State of Oregon. The bank's success is underpinned by its commitment to local businesses, fostering strong relationships and offering customized financial solutions for a variety of business and nonprofit clients. Since opening, Summit Bank has expanded its footprint with five offices across Eugene/Springfield, the Portland Metro area and Central Oregon.

To commemorate its 20th anniversary, Summit Bank is organizing events to show appreciation for our clients who helped us reach the point we are at now. "As we celebrate this milestone, our focus remains steadfast on thanking the local businesses and individuals who have been integral to our story," said Craig Wanichek, President and CEO.
